well, scince you didn't give options, then i guess i will come up with my own. I would say, "i'm so sorry, we don't carry that. Would you like me to help you find another store that does?" yes, you may be losing that persns buisness for that day, but chances are that if you are polite, people will com back. with this response, you ARE being polite, and offering to help.
